Earlene Hornbostel Welch ‘69
November 4, 1951 – June 20, 2011



WELCH--Earlene Ynes Hornbostel Wirsching. Passed away on June 20, 2011, at the age of 59. She was the beloved daughter of Elizabeth Valdez Wirsching and Norbert R. Wirsching and cherished sister of Elizabeth del Alamo and Margaret Still, loving wife of Teed Welch, devoted mother of Theodore "TJ" Welch, and dear sister-in-law of Constancio del Alamo and Gary Still. Earlene was a beautiful, intelligent, and accomplished woman. She attended the American School in Manila, the Philippines, and graduated from the International School in Hong Kong. She received her Associate's Degree from Tobe-Coburn School for Fashion Careers, her B. A. in Economics from Columbia University School of General Studies, and her M.B.A. from Columbia University. Earlene worked for Nabisco Brands / Planter's Peanuts Division, Kiddie Products/The First Years, and for IBM's Marketing Communications Division. She retired in 1998 to become a full-time Mom. Her family loves her, and will always hold her dear in our hearts. Elizabeth, Norbert, Bunny and Margie
